Would any sane human, if to be proposed to eat a delicious cake but is told that he/she will be shot in the head right after eating the cake, would any sane human agree to this? Of course, the answer is obvious, and the answer is no. However, there exists a paradox in human thinking.
I can be a fortune teller for you and even be generous enough to do it with no payment. Do you want to know the fate of your human-life, the ending? Do you want me to spoil for you the utmost latest scene, the scene right before the credit-roll? Alright, for this you have to just watch the video below, watch it and let it sink in, understand that this is your fate, at least this is the fate that waits for the person/human that you see in the mirror staring back at you, the person which heartbeat you feel, and from whose nostrils you feel the oxygen being breathed out and breathed in.
Now I have to repeat the question again, Would any sane human, if to be proposed to eat a delicious cake but is told that he/she will be shot in the head right after eating the cake, would any sane human agree to this? Of course, the answer is obvious, and the answer is no. However, there exists a paradox in human thinking. The paradox is that the human is content with letting the human life consume (because they find it "fun" and pleasurable them) to such an extent that they are ok with the fact that this same body will one day rot away. Likewise, humans saying, you only get a chance of enjoying life, so enjoy the ride because you won't have another one. So to understand this, the person is ok with his/her "I" ceasing to exist forever just so the human body can have fun and be content/happy while it exists for a temporary time it will exist.
However, this is the reflection of the situation of eating the cake knowing that you will get shot in the head right after! In this case, the cake being the human-body, and its inevitable destruction/death(getting shot in the head).
If we to associate ourselves we the human-bodies we are attached to, our fates are doomed so to speak, there is no sugar coating it. What is one then left to do?
The realization of this truth is the first, however nonetheless a very important step. If one to never realize that one is flying in a falling-plane than one will never do the necessary actions in order to leave ones airplane-seat, go to take the parachute, open the airplane-door and jump out of the airplane before it crashes and kills you.
So the earlier one to realize the reality of things, the more time one has before the plane crashes so to speak, allegorically.
It is not sane to think that if one to repeat the same things over and over one will expect different results, of course, if the variables will change, then there is logic in repeating the beforehand-action(s)/input because of the different variables there exist a probability that the result might be different. But it seems that the variables are the same and the dynamics of human life is the same and that nature makes no excuse for anyone, a human is born, it exists for some time and it ceases to exist. If one to call this kind of "life" as an existence, then it seems to be like a light that was turned on for a moment.
A thouhgt provocing saying was uttered by Jesus regards this realazation, of course, if one to believe the text of the Gospel of Thomas to be true in their account, the words are the following:

(Saying, no. : 60) <They saw> a Samaritan carrying a lamb on his way to Judea. He said to his disciples, "That man is round about the lamb."
They said to him, "So that he may kill it and eat it."
He said to them, "While it is alive, he will not eat it, but only when he has killed it and it has become a corpse."
They said to him, "He cannot do so otherwise."
He said to them, "You too, look for a place for yourself within repose, lest you become a corpse and be eaten."
