Hello,
Forum has not been very active in recent months, but I have a post to share with you regarding balance in life and much "food for thought" as people say. Spiritual people tend to get obsessed with everything concerning spirituality and here comes input on that based on logic and some controversial points as well
I put a table here below in order to illustrate this better:
Balance = Tranquility
We who visit this forum and read everything on it may believe that we must strive towards what leads to the positive feelings mentioned above, but the truth is that is a trap too and it may lead to instinctive behavior. The middle-way is to find the balance in between, to not sense too much on either side of the above. Reason is both states of mind clog it up with unnecessary thoughts and efforts which distract the mind.
Remember that that it is control to control the control, if you understand what I mean, and then ironically some relinquishment may be necessary in the situation. Of course never should it lead to relinquishment of being, but excessive control efforts may be counterproductive, and anyways lead to relinquishment while the intention was control.
So as I wrote above balance is tranquility and you never get tranquility or peace of mind when you are striving for the extremity of each side of the table. What we are discussing here is the bodily instinctive sensations inside of the above feelings, and as I have told no instinct is good for our mind, and I was not joking. Of course "mental control" sounds to relate to the mind, but in this case we are delving into dominance, the mental control rides on the instinct of dominance while we are unconscious of the fact. Once again it is ironical to say it, but when we seek to dominate our bodies we suffer from the underlying instinct nevertheless, so we need to remain calm, and take it easy and progress steadily. If we perceive the struggle with the body as a sort of contest then we are striving to win, and we know that winning is dominance and that is an instinct, then this is clearly a problem.
But the solution is not relinquishment as we know already, we need to calmly just master our body by simply doing it, but it must never become dominating control and as you know on bodily level we take excitement in it and you may know that from own experiences that it is pleasure.
Summary is that what sounds very easy when you approach our methodology and approach on the forum is actually quite complicated. Because approaching the methods and philosophy is easy to understand, but it is much harder to exercise in practice. Everything I teach is also written in the scripture that I have been deciphering for some time now. The whole concept is very straightforward, but despite this there is a whole book written on the topic although much of it is just repeating the same message over and over again in different ways of saying it, plus it is written in a provocative way in order to invoke uncertainty into the listener or reader even when the subject is already certain beforehand. Here we can connect it all to control and dominance, that when people dominate knowledge then they also defend it and it becomes very instinctive rather than rational, and so you have the average human behavior explained, it is why humans have so much trouble changing their minds and perception and what they have learned. They are further deluded by the other "positive feelings" in the table above connected to it such as hope and happiness, it has given them false security with that they believe. Interestingly these people would benefit from some negative feelings to balance the excessively good feelings, but humans fear negative feelings like the plague (it is instinctive) despite that they are not always bad and so they do not even consider it and hence remain stuck in an old school of thought. If you do not put your hopes too much in things but feel in the middle, it is easier to be open to new views, and as I said you should never feel hopeless either.
Happiness is, just like the others, a strong emotion and it reinforces hope and the intensity to continue with what gives the happy feelings, and it does not matter if it is right or wrong, it can very well be completely wrong, but the feeling of happiness makes it "right". Ironically we can say that it is not good to be happy just as it is not good to be sad, you should feel content and nothing more. When living in old patterns it may be hard to understand what I am writing here in the forum and think I am completely lost in my reasoning now, but trust me in that I have a clear point in this.

Negative Feelings | Description | Balance | Positive Feelings | Description |
Hopelessness | Lack of continuity and progression | <---> | Hope | Presence of continuity and progression |
Sadness | Feeling of grief | <---> | Happiness | Feeling of joy |
Frustration | Building up anger or sadness, negativity | <---> | Carefree | Feeling there is no problem |
Hate | Emotional detachment to | <---> | Love | Emotional attachment to |
Fear/Withdrawal | Refrain from action | <---> | Intensity | Proceed with action |
Fatigue/Weakness | Inability to act | <---> | Energy/Strength | Ability to act |
Relinquishment | Release of control | <---> | Control | Take of control |
