That's interesting. Bizzare but intriguing. I'll have to investigate this further when I have ample time. Maybe Boanthropy/lycanthropy and zoanthropy in ancient humans stem from a deep-seated longing to surpass/outperform animals. Lone gone are the days where the only defense against super predators are spears, dogs and a torch but this still exists as residue effect in a select few individuals.
