So there is this common thing called 'praying for forgiveness', 'asking God to forgive your sins'. I'm thinking one cannot sin and ask for God's forgiveness and subsequently forget about his/her sin and maybe repeat the same process every time hoping God forgave him/her. Maybe one should make up for the sins by reversing them, covering them by good deed; There is a short instance of that in the common quranic translation that says something like 'the good deed makes up for the bad deed', though completely ignored compared to the 'ask for forgiveness' concept.
The thinking "forgiveness of sins" is something irrelevant. Changing/reforming into what is not sinning is remitting your own sins and indirectly you could say you are therefore forgiven. And that is also something you pointed out in your post.
Punishment of sins from the God and the higher realm is meaningless since there is no emotional need and a person who breaks down their spirit causes their own undoing and what you may call punishment is self-inflicted and thus redundant from a God point of view. A broken spirit does not feel good and the condition is pitiful enough on its own and the eventual destruction of their spirit when the universe is detracted is punishment enough even though there is no eternal torture as in religious mythology, the soul is just wiped out and is no more once it is deemed beyond saving and the time is ready for the Apocalypse as it is often called according to ancient mythology which in reality is a rapid detraction of the universe.
It is the condition of a person that any given moment which measures the integrity. The past sins are irrelevant, although many continuous sins will definitely not lead towards spiritual growth, but a decision to reform oneself and actually doing so wholeheartedly and the sins until then are irrelevant. Sins are done due to ignorance and being subdued by Satan/the instinct and it is commendable to withstand this. You are rewarded for withstanding the instinct, but you only punish yourself for not doing so.
Aviel: Immanuel, Thank You very much for the work you do. Thank you for your insight, IM SINCERELY THANKFUL! There are people to whom your work is very important, and I can and will raise my hand for being one of them.

Immanuel: You are welcome, hansolo. It is for your sake that I am doing it primarily, but I am also a bit curious myself regarding the underlying lore. Persistent research and critical thinking has led to a great breakthrough.

Immanuel: Symbiotic existence, like a permanent telepathic coexistence. This is why humans are placed to learn to coexist on Earth on a very basic level and even with marriages, in order to be ready for a greater union by developing from there.

Immanuel: Our challenge here is Homo sapiens' self-preservation and other instinctive drives/motivations, which makes people think in "dualistic" ways.

Immanuel: What the "Ten Commandments" counteract is the enslaving effects of the body. Furthermore, I am still not convinced about what the seventh command says as it probably says "unnecessary sex". Jesus gave a recommendation of not even looking upon a woman.
Nov 4, 2018 21:05:37 GMT
Immanuel: Jesus' word of not even looking upon a woman (or man) suits that of no unnecessary sex. It is about that sexual trigger in the mind which is spoke of. Pay attention to that translators usually add "other" within parentheses, meaning it is about ANY woman.
