Its a proven concept in Psychology that the highly creative, talented, often a charismatic outsider ends up being a groups scapegoat for all its problems and then the group sacrifices this scapegoat. It often happens in organisation, where a team brings in a specialist or CEO who has standards and then when the group is unable to keep up with these standards, they will scapegoat the CEO and chuck them out, I have seen it in the corporate world.
To understand the setting of Jesus in Judeah, we have to see Jesus as Izates Bar Monobaz, the Syriac Prince, the Son of Agbar Au Kama and brother of Monobaz( Thomas the Twin). Here we have an Edessan Armao Syriac speaking Prince, who is the Son of Helena of Jerusalem, therefore holds hectares of Land in Jerusalem, being a Jewish Convert(as per Josephus, antiquities) and not an ethnic Jew, Jesus is seen as a Charismatic, Princely and Rich outsider by the common Jews and the Senhadrin. Jesus sees the Jews as "incapable" since Judeah was ruled by Rome. Here Jesus acts as a CEO who sets new standards and incites the Jewish Revolt of AD 66, even though it might have been festering from AD54 itself.
So, the Edessan Princely Cavalry is also brought into the scenario to give the Jews a push, but the Senhadrin cannot accept change in status quo as the 12th Legion of Cestius Gallus and its 30,000 men are wiped out, thats why you see fears of Roman retribution among the Jews and many Jews desert to the Roman camp, especially the Senhadrin. The amazing fact is that Jesus knew his transformatory role , and like the "sacrificial scape goat", he becomes the "lamb of God" and he also knew that the group will invoke on itself a self destruction and guilt, and prophesied about the "Gnashing of teeth, when the light is gone".I'd see Jesus as a master of the human mind. He also was intelligent enough to have multiple disciples to carry on his story, knowing he will be scapegoated eventually!,and just in case his Jewish Disciples are Romanised or Gospelised(which did happen), he also had his brother Thomas move to the East ,before he was crucified, to regions outside Roman Control, so as to keep the flame going. Masterful.!!
