Hi everyone
The Parliament of the World's Religions is having a conference in Salt Lake from the 15-19 October.
I am not sure where everyone is situated in the world, but I was wondering if anyone will be attending?
What are everyone's views on the speakers and the conference's interfaith voice?
And Amenuel are you attending/ participating via a booth by any chance?

Hello Esperanza,
I am not much accustomed to that kind of arrangement, but I suppose my face needs to appear more publicly overall from here on now. For details I have to read up on it.
It has been problematic for different faiths to get along, especially when their views are very opposite of each other. Yet if they follow the core of their respective religions they should have more empathy towards each other.
With the research that I have put into the Quran environment I have discovered that the faith extracted from it is very similar to the ancient forms of the Indian faiths and even ancient Judaism (not the modern form) and what Jesus taught is confirmed pretty much in detail.
Be safe Amenuel

I don't know if they are ready for my religion. I am also in Vancouver and banned from the free-minds website as well as entry into the USA at this time haha.
Salt Lake City Utah is one of the important areas for the Mormon religion, which has many elements in it that may be interesting for this website, but is also quite different.
The Mormons believe that the one they call God was once a human like us who followed certain procedures and became a God like his parents before him and their parents before them perpetually going back. That God has a wife, and together they breed spirits without bodies (even though God has a perfected body) and then places these spirit children into human beings bodies. Thus they believe they are directly the literal children of what they call God, their literal Father who is a literal human man in a literal human body. Jesus is God's literal son, and that God literally visited Mary in person though there is silence regarding how God put Jesus inside of Mary.
Lucifer is the literal brother of Jesus and all of us, who did not like the proposal of "free agency" or "free will" and wanted instead that everyone just be good automatically. His idea was not chosen so he rebelled, and the people who did not choose sides in the rebellion were given the bodies of dark skinned people, while the people who were holy are incarnated into people who are "exceedingly fair skinned" and so some sub factions greatly idolize practically albino children or very blonde ones.
They believe in different realms of spiritual ascension, and they believe the worst is "Spirit Prison" where unbaptized people go. The "baptism of the dead" is to free those people who were not Mormons, from prison.
The Highest of all realms requires that one becomes married and "sealed" in the Temple in order to become a God and create worlds and spirit children to populate them just as God their father did before them.

Hello, I doubt the answer is in what you refer to as Mormonism. If I went all out on Free-Minds I would probably also find myself banned sooner or later but I am keeping a relatively low profile even if I challenge their views from time to time to attempt to open their eyes by "cutting down the forest that prevents the mesmerized sheep with their blind shepherds from seeing the green meadow on the other side" (warning: parable). If I can do that then my whistling will finally help and the sheep will abandon their blind shepherds and come on over. (the old ones loved to use parables with sheep, so why not follow in the same footsteps? Be safe Amenuel
